Over time, the old OEM alternator bolts become corroded or rounded after being removed and replaced multiple times. We have put together a grade 5 titanium replacement kit to fix this.

Our Exoracing titanium alternator bolt kits are made using the finest aircraft-grade Titanium Alloy, Ti-6AL-4V (Grade 5), a material renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.

We take pride in that all our fasteners are forged and the threads are made using a unique rolling process. This results in increased fatigue resistance and reduced risk of galling during fastening.

We have tested this on multiple K-Series engines in development for fitment and the real world in racing applications and have only found one engine that doesn't fit, the k24a3, making this the most universal K-Series alternator bolt kit.

Our Grade 5 Titanium hardware is a reliable replacement for Grade 8.8 steel fasteners, offering a weight saving of approximately 45% compared to equivalent steel bolts. This weight reduction is particularly beneficial in the racing industry, where every gram matters, as this kit only weighs an incredibly small 47g!

In addition to the weight savings, Titanium is exceptionally corrosion resistant to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, ensuring a longer service life than standard BZP steel bolts. Follow our step-by-step instructions below to get up and running with your brand-new shiny titanium bolt kit as soon as possible. If you are unsure about any of the steps below or are not confident installing yourself, please get in touch with a professional.

1. First, ensure the engine is cool to the touch to avoid the risk of burns.
2. Loosen the alternator tensioner bolt to allow the alternator belt to move.
3. Remove the top alternator bolt and replace it with the titanium version, making sure to install them hand-tight only. Do this for all 3 bolts.
4. Torque all 3 bolts to 17 ft/lb and put the alternator belt back on if you removed it.
5. Tension the belt to the correct specification and tighten the tensioner bolt back to the 41 ft/lb factory setting.
6. Run the engine to ensure you aren't getting excessive movement from the belt, alternator or tensioner, and you are all done!
