The BMW 335i is one of those cars that quietly carved a legacy. Launched in the mid-2000s, it bridged the gap between daily usability and serious performanceโespecially thanks to the N54 engine, a twin-turbo straight-six that quickly earned a reputation for being far more capable than BMW let on.ย Fast forward nearly 20 years, and itโs still a favourite in the tuning world. Why? Because it responds beautifully to upgrades.
When this particular 335iโnicknamed the Green Beastโrolled into Xatrix, we knew it wasnโt here for a routine service. The owner had one goal in mind: to take this already iconic platform and elevate it to new levels of power and fun.
Cue the real stars of the show.
A build like this needed something serious under the bonnet. Thatโs where theย TTE600 turbochargerย from TheTurboEngineersย came in.
These aren't your run-of-the-mill upgrades. With the twins in hand, our team at Xatrix got busy. Every seal, hose, bolt and fittingโhandled in-house with the level of detail and care weโre known for.
This wasnโt just about slapping parts on. It was about bringing a nearly two-decade-old engine platform into modern-day performance territory. And letโs be honestโ600bhp from an N54? That still turns heads.
But the beauty of this build isnโt just the number. Itโs how it drives. Smooth off-boost, wild when you want it to be. A proper sleeper that still looks civilโฆ until you hear the turbos spool.
